Job Summary
Champion and facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives to drive team alignment and continuous delivery. Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, designers, and engineers to ensure shared understanding of product goals, user needs, and technical feasibility. Apply design thinking practices to improve problem-solving and value delivery while maintaining focus on user-centered outcomes. Maintain and optimize Agile artifacts using Jira to promote transparency and delivery rhythm, ensuring stories are well-defined and aligned with sprint goals. Serve as a facilitator and coach for Agile best practices, removing blockers and enabling autonomous teams. Partner with product owners to define priorities and refine roadmap items based on feedback and learning. Steampunk is a Change Agent in the Federal contracting industry, bringing new thinking to clients in the Homeland, Federal Civilian, Health, and DoD sectors through a Human-Centered delivery methodology.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 7+ years of experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies
- 7+ years of experience serving as a Product Owner or Scrum Master
- Must have CSM and/or SAFe certifications
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
- Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions
- Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach
- Must be comfortable with leading exercises with business partners
- Must have critical thinking skillsets
