Job Summary
Product Manager for Rates at Truckstop.com owns the strategy, vision, and roadmap for the rates product portfolio, spanning API, Load Board integration, and standalone experiences. You will lead discovery, definition, and delivery of new and improved rates solutions, applying freight pricing dynamics (spot rates, contract pricing, lane analysis, margin modeling) to define requirements and shape the rates intelligence strategy. You’ll collaborate with customers, data science, engineering, and GTM teams to maximize value, define KPIs and ROI models, and drive go-to-market for new features. The role requires driving data-driven decisions, engaging with broker and carrier customers to translate insights into product requirements, and delivering high-quality, on-time releases with an API-first approach. Location is Boise, ID, and the role is full-time and in-person.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience; a quantitative background or advanced analytical coursework is required
- 4+ years in product management or an analytics centric role is required
- Experience at a freight brokerage, TMS provider, or logistics SaaS company, with direct exposure to pricing, rates, or market intelligence products is strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with freight pricing at a brokerage—including spot rate negotiation, contract pricing, lane analysis, and margin modeling—is strongly preferred
- Truckload Freight, Transportation, and Logistics industry experience strongly preferred; experience managing API-first or developer-facing products and proficiency with product analytics tools are strong differentiators
- FLSA Status: Exempt
- Physical Demands: Minimum physical exertion and mobility; able to sit/stand/adjust as needed
