Job Summary

Lead cross-functional new product development teams to deliver high-quality agricultural irrigation products on time and on budget, achieving revenue and margin targets. Drive innovation-related marketing research and develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies, including sales and internal marketing materials, to ensure successful new product launches. Champion a quality-first orientation while building global competitive share knowledge to position Rain Bird as the customer's best choice. Prepare hard-hitting product presentations and conduct training for the sales force, distributors, and growers, with 20-35% domestic and international travel required to maintain market knowledge.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of marketing and product development experience
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, leadership and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize many tasks and activities while delivering on time
  • Ability to translate technical knowledge and information into engaging marketing and education materials
  • Experience with new product development using a Stage Gate process
  • Experience leading Marketing Research projects
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to convert large amounts of data to actionable insights
  • Experience with marketing and/or selling through B2B channels
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Undergraduate degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, or engineering
  • Domestic and international travel to develop and maintain market knowledge (20-35%)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with and passion for the Agriculture industry
  • Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing and plastic extrusion processes
  • Proven track record for success managing new product development projects
  • Proven track record for developing go-to-market plans and materials that drive sales
  • MBA degree with exposure to marketing and program management
