Job Summary
Product Manager for Perception Modeling - Semantics at Waymo I lead model-launch approvals, plan investments for 12+ months, and set architecture vision for 12-36 months across object-level semantic understanding and reasoning. I will manage execution with 60+ engineers, Technical Program Managers, and other Product Managers; conduct root-cause analysis with engineering partners to propose viable solutions from real-world, synthetic, and simulated events. Knowledge in perception models, Foundational Models (Gemini), and compute-efficient modeling is preferred. Strong PM background with model iteration experience over 12+ months is required; advanced degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years Product Management experience
- Experience iterating on models over the course of 12+ months
- Experience in launching new model architectures, model consolidation, or Foundational Model distillation
- Experience optimizing models for compute efficiency
- Technical fluency in Perception or related field
