Job Summary
Own the roadmap for payments and transaction processing products serving SME customers. Improve the reliability, speed, and success rates of payment processing across multiple rails by designing optimized journeys for transfers, collections, and bill payments. Collaborate with Engineering to define requirements, prioritize the backlog, and drive execution while working with Operations, Compliance, and Banking Partners to ensure regulatory adherence. Enhance reconciliation, settlement, and transaction monitoring workflows by analyzing performance data to identify bottlenecks. Drive integrations with banks and payment processors, bringing best practices from leading fintechs in emerging markets. Deliver results within the first 4–6 weeks within a fast-paced environment focused on scaling the B2B banking ecosystem in Nigeria.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Product Management experience in fintech, banking, or payments
- Strong hands-on experience owning payment or transaction processing products
- Good understanding of payment rails, transaction lifecycle, reconciliation, settlement, and payment operations
- Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile product environments
- Ability to translate business problems into detailed product requirements and drive execution
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Nigerian payment infrastructure (NIBSS Instant Payments, bank transfers, collections, virtual accounts, card processing, or agency banking)
- Experience with African payment ecosystems, particularly Nigeria
