Job Summary
Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for Clearing & Settlement within the Issuer Processing platform. Define product strategy aligned to customer needs, operational efficiency, and scheme requirements, translating complex market demands into product requirements and delivery priorities. Manage capabilities for clearing message ingestion, presentments, reversals, adjustments, and exception handling while ensuring accurate scheme file processing and event generation. Oversee issuer settlement calculations, position management, and robust controls for auditable outcomes. Lead product requirements for Visa Base II and Mastercard IPM, monitor scheme mandates, and drive impact analysis for new network integrations. Define reconciliation flows across clearing, settlement, and ledger systems, overseeing exception management and break resolution. Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Client Delivery teams to write requirements, support solution design, and act as the product SME for clearing and settlement.
Required Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of card clearing and settlement processes and frameworks (Visa, Mastercard)
- Understanding of settlement reporting, reconciliation, interchange, assessments, and scheme fees
- Ability to translate complex payment and scheme requirements into product and delivery plans
- Stakeholder management and strong execution skills
- Competence in payment processing fundamentals: authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation
- Interpret complex technical specifications into concise requirements and testable outcomes
- Project and program management, including dependency and risk management
- Technical fluency, comfortable collaborating with engineers on APIs, system behavior, and integrations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Desired Qualifications
- Technical or payments-focused background
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Payments, Issuer Processing, Financial Processing, or a related domain
- Experience delivering clearing, settlement, reconciliation, or financial processing capabilities within card issuing, payment processing, banking, or fintech environments
- Proven experience with card scheme clearing and settlement frameworks, and managing scheme-mandated changes
- Collaborative experience with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and cross-functional product teams
- Strong understanding of issuer financial operations including interchange, scheme fees, multi-currency settlement, funding models, and financial controls
- Experience with SQL/data analysis
