Job Summary

Product Manager for an AI-powered mastery-assessment tool at a nonprofit focused on education. Own ongoing development, strategy, and roadmap for the tool, reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer and collaborating with the CEO and Head of Engineering. Lead hands-on work from defining requirements and designing experiences to driving execution. Act as the voice of teachers and students in product decisions, conduct market research and teacher interviews, shadow classrooms, and translate learnings into product direction. Refine the user experience with wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, define information architecture, interaction patterns, and the design system. Validate product-market fit with KPI frameworks, unit economics, and feedback systems to inform expansion and investment. Establish delivery frameworks and cadence (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives) and coordinate cross-functional go-to-market activities with the Success Team for district launches and feature releases. Manage risks, dependencies, and cross-team coordination to keep initiatives on track. Serve as the first dedicated product manager for MCP, helping to establish practices, artifacts, and rhythms that scale as the team grows. Experience building products from scratch, strategic product leadership, UX design skills, and project-management discipline are highly valued; experience with AI-powered products and education technology is a plus.
