Job Summary
Own the Agile Backlog as an embedded product owner for a highly skilled engineering squad, managing backlog prioritization, feature sizing, and iterative sprint planning. Drive collaborative discovery by analyzing technical specifications and gathering feedback through design sessions, UX reviews, and usability mockups. Define product roadmaps with senior leaders to balance strategic investments with rapid feature delivery while practicing stakeholder negotiation to resolve conflicting demands. Conduct impact analysis by monitoring post-launch usability metrics and tracking user success parameters to verify customer needs. Participate in passion frameworks by showcasing creative problem-solving during department-led Hackathons and driving unique prototypes using dedicated Engineering Indie Time. This 10-week summer program requires full-time (40 hours/week) in-office commitment at McLean, Virginia, for students returning to school after completion.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a strong academic record
- Must be returning to school following the completion of the Summer 2027 internship to continue degree requirements
- Ability to commit to a full-time (40 hours/week) schedule for the duration of the 10-week summer program
- Proven fluency in AI and LLMs, encompassing both the strategic development of AI-powered platform capabilities and the hands-on application of AI tools to accelerate daily workflows
