Job Summary
Prioritize features and enhancements based on client needs, regulatory requirements, and business value while defining and maintaining product backlogs with clear user stories. Lead requirements-gathering sessions and workshops with client stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable specifications, then deliver demonstrations and solution walkthroughs to showcase new capabilities. Partner closely with engineering and QA teams in an Agile environment to participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, writing detailed functional specifications and process flows that minimize ambiguity. Apply hands-on knowledge of mortgage cash operations including payment application hierarchies, suspense management, and wire processing to identify gaps in reconciliation and audit trail capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience
- at least 3 years in mortgage servicing
- Demonstrated expertise in cash management, payment processing, or financial operations within a servicing or loan administration environment
- Proven track record of client-facing work — conducting requirements sessions, delivering demos, and managing stakeholder expectations
- Strong collaboration skills with software development teams
- experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Ability to write clear, detailed user stories and functional specifications
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for business audiences and business requirements for technical teams
- Familiarity with servicing platforms (e.g., Black Knight MSP, ICE Mortgage Technology, Sagent, or similar)
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to CFPB regulations, GSE guidelines, and state-specific servicing compliance requirements
- Background in business analysis or implementation consulting within fintech or mortgage technology
- Experience with product tools such as ADO
- Basic understanding of AI concepts and their practical applications in a product and business context
- Background in leveraging AI for predictive analytics, automation, or data-driven decision-making
- Familiarity with using AI tools to accelerate the creation of use cases, story development, and software development workflows
- Knowledge of AI in supporting workflow automation, with the ability to identify and advocate for automation opportunities within the product lifecycle
