Job Summary
Serves as subject matter expert for assigned products, engaging stakeholders to align strategies and communicate updates. Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies, market trends, and customer needs to translate them into actionable product strategies. Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure effective execution of the product roadmap and oversee the product line lifecycle from ideation to retirement. Manage the product portfolio to optimize offerings and reduce SKU count while developing training materials and collateral for the marketing team. Establish key performance indicators to measure product line success and maintain standard work adherence. Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop channel partners and execute go-to-market plans, providing thought leadership to innovation teams. Maintain ongoing competitive profiles and reporting to drive product positioning and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a related field (engineering or marketing)
- Experience in the electrical product industry
- A product engineering background
- Demonstrated experience managing all areas of product management including mentoring, marketing, competitive analysis, portfolio management, product roadmaps, strategy development, price management, specifications and standards, new product development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills, self-driven and accountable
- Proven ability to lead/influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Proven technical background and aptitude
- Responsive nature with strong sense of urgency to handle matters quickly
- Detail orientated with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Able to travel approximately 25-50% of the time
- Must be based out of either Harvey, IL or Philadelphia, PA facilities
