Job Summary
Product Manager within Cisco's Transceiver Module Group (TMGBU) owning optical transceivers and the entire product lifecycle—from market exploration and requirements definition to development, go-to-market, transitions, and end-of-sale. Drive growth, pricing, promotions, and marketing collaterals; track optics opportunities and collaborate with host platforms (Switches/Routers/Servers) to position high-speed optics for AI applications. Develop the roadmap, engage cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Procurement, Supply, etc.), manage new product introductions and forecasts, and socialize the portfolio with sales and account teams. Lead training webinars, blogs, whitepapers, and trade shows to articulate value propositions and competitive advantages. Ideal candidate possesses experience in pluggable optics and related components (DSPs, lasers, laser drivers, TIAs), strong analytical and independent work skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders and surface complex issues clearly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 8 years related experience, or Master's plus 6 years, or PhD plus 3 years in Business or Engineering
- Experience in Pluggable Optics and its critical components such as DSPs, lasers, laser drivers and TIAs
- Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders and articulate complex issues clearly
