Job Summary
Monitor global market dynamics, segment growth, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and define product strategies. Conduct market research and voice-of-customer activities to develop requirements and value propositions for new products and features. Travel to customer locations and partners to gain direct insight into challenges and business needs. Develop business cases, plans, and go-to-market strategies while communicating product vision and progress to cross-functional stakeholders. Manage field trials and new product introduction programs to support early adoption. Analyze key business metrics such as bookings and quote conversion rates to recommend corrective actions. Requires a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in process engineering or product marketing. Up to 10% international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Five (5) years or more of experience in process engineering, sales, business development, product management, product marketing, or a related field
- Experience conducting market research and translating customer insights into business opportunities and product requirements
- Experience developing business cases, product strategies, or go-to-market plans
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively across technical, commercial, and leadership audiences
- Ability to develop and maintain strong global working relationships
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or advanced business degree
- Experience in technical sales, market analysis, product management, or business development within the industrial automation market
- Knowledge of process control products, applications, customers, and competitive landscapes
- Understanding of the commercial and technical applications of control valves or similar industrial products
- Experience evaluating adjacent market opportunities and acquisition targets
- Experience developing financial models and business case evaluations
- Previous people leadership experience or demonstrated capability to lead and develop a small team
