Job Summary
Product Manager for deployed optical systems leading cross-functional initiatives to drive innovation, scalability, and mission success. You will define long-term product strategy and roadmaps, conduct ROI analyses and build business cases, develop product requirements and pricing models, and create artifacts guiding engineering, production, and market delivery. You will identify emerging technologies to enhance operational capabilities, partner with engineering leads to ensure scalable designs, track performance metrics, and act as a product evangelist to align internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate with business development, field operations, and finance to meet financial targets, optimize margins, and validate customer needs through market research and competitive analyses. This role requires strong hardware-software systems expertise (including computer vision, AI/ML, autonomy, sensors, and embedded systems), experience with government/defense customers and DoD procurement processes, and eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Program Management, or Systems Engineering with a focus on rugged, highly performant operational sensing systems
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end product development, from strategy and design to execution and commercialization
- Strong technical understanding of hardware-software systems, including computer vision, AI/ML, autonomy, networking, and embedded systems
- Experience working with government, defense, or aerospace customers, with familiarity in DoD procurement and acquisition processes
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
