Job Summary
Product Manager for Data Publishing and Processing leads strategy and delivery of a unified data publishing/processing platform across ingestion, transformation, quality, orchestration, and governed delivery. Owns the product lifecycle from discovery to launch, partnering with engineering, governance, and business lines to provide reusable blueprints, self-service onboarding, and observability across managed lake and consumption platforms. Defines roadmaps for onboarding, ingestion, processing frameworks, and platform adapters; delivers AI-powered solutions to modernize data processing; drives platform capabilities (orchestration, processing with PySpark/SQL/streaming, test data services, data quality and readiness checks, catalog and entitlement integration, observability and SLOs); maintains backlog with clear requirements and acceptance criteria; tracks success metrics (time-to-publish, publish error rate, adoption/NPS, cost per dataset) and course-corrects based on data; ensures reliability and compliance through collaboration with platform engineering, governance, SRE, and vendor teams; champions contracts-first, API-first publishing workflows and supports autonomous/AI-assisted publishing.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management or adjacent experience in data platforms/analytics/cloud in highly matrixed environments
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tooling and patterns (e.g., Informatica, Ab Initio, dbt, Spark/PySpark/Glue, SQL, Databricks)
- Working knowledge of modern data lake/lakehouse stacks and table formats (Iceberg/Delta/Hudi)
- Familiarity with orchestration platforms (Airflow/MWAA), CI/CD, observability for data pipelines
- Experience with serverless and cloud-native data processing (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience integrating with data catalogs/metadata systems and entitlement services
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical skills to instrument, monitor, and improve platform health and business KPIs
- Preferred mastery of data contracts, semantic/technical lineage, and policy enforcement
- Experience with migrations and large program implementations
- Master’s degree in relevant field
