Product Manager - Commercial

Job Summary
Develop the roadmap and lifecycle management strategy for the Commercial Business Unit line of products while driving P&L performance. Identify gaps through competitive benchmarking and translate unmet customer needs into technical specifications. Partner with engineering, operations, and marketing to ensure successful product launches, evaluate feasibility tradeoffs, and eliminate unproductive SKUs. Maintain accurate product master data for manual, motorized, and automated window coverings. Proactively resolve roadblocks, address customer and operational issues, and coordinate sampling strategies with Sales. Manage Excess & Obsolete inventory and analyze pricing trends to improve margins.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in product management or a related cross-functional role
- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Engineering
- Experience working with architectural products or consumer durables
- Strong technical acumen
- Strong consumer and market focus
- Track record in delivering products on time, on budget, that meet financial goals
- Ability to execute a strategic innovation vision that includes both new and existing product upgrades
- Solid financial analysis and management skills
- Strong ability to lead a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and an ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate to all levels of the organization
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to create compelling rationale for ideas and develop thorough and thoughtful business cases
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Engineering is preferred
- Experience working with architectural products or consumer durables is highly desired
