Job Summary

Own and evolve the analytics strategy for the Degreed platform, defining metrics, dashboards, and reporting experiences that help admins and learners understand skill growth and program impact. Partner with data engineering, data science, and design teams to ensure underlying data models, pipelines, and metric definitions support current and future reporting needs while creating clear, trustworthy visualizations. Gather input from customers, sales, and customer success to identify critical analytics gaps, then write requirements, prioritize the backlog, and ship accurate, performant features. Measure adoption and impact to inform the next roadmap iteration. This high-visibility role shapes how the market perceives the platform's maturity, leveraging AI tools to accelerate analysis and prototyping.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • at least 2 years focused on analytics, reporting, BI, or data products
  • Proven ability to set and communicate a product strategy for analytics or reporting capabilities
  • Strong grasp of data modeling concepts
  • Comfort working directly with data engineers and data scientists on schema, metrics definitions, and data pipelines
  • Experience with embedded analytics or BI tooling
  • Ability to translate ambiguous customer and stakeholder needs into clear requirements and well-scoped roadmap bets
  • Comfort defining and governing metrics: naming conventions, calculation logic, and data definitions
  • Strong data literacy: able to read a dataset, sanity-check a query, and know when a dashboard number looks wrong before a customer does
  • Experience partnering with design on data visualization best practices
  • Track record of prioritizing a roadmap against competing demands from sales, customer success, engineering, and executive stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to leverage AI tools and technologies relevant to the role

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in HR tech, learning tech, or another people-analytics adjacent space
  • Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write or debug queries independently
