Job Summary
Product Manager for ACS.org digital experiences, owning a defined segment’s strategy, roadmaps, and KPIs. Lead discovery to identify friction points and opportunities, run independent research, and translate findings into prioritized product decisions. Manage cross-functional delivery from planning through release, facilitate workshops, design and conduct assumption and A/B tests, monitor post-launch performance, and iterate. Collaborate with development, design, UX research, content strategy, and analytics; translate organizational goals into actionable product requirements; advocate for member-centric improvements and ROI. Preference for experience with AI-enabled features and enterprise CMS (AEM); role requires strong stakeholder management, data-driven storytelling, and clear business-case development. Hybrid work arrangement in Washington, DC with onsite and remote balance.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of digital product management experience with end-to-end ownership of web or digital products
- Proven continuous discovery practice — independently running research, using feedback to drive roadmap decisions, tracking the competitive landscape
- Experience with customer journey mapping and translating findings into prioritized product decisions
- Comfort with analytics, A/B testing, and behavioral data to validate solutions and drive prioritization
- Enough technical fluency to work productively with developers on integrations and platform tradeoffs
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including mediating priority conflicts across a complex organization
- Ability to build and present a clear business case — synthesizing data, tradeoffs, and strategic context into a story that drives alignment and decision-making
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and confidently to varied audiences
- Preferred Skills: Experience working with AI tools in a product context — evaluating AI-powered features, integrating LLM capabilities, or building product strategy around emerging AI use cases
- Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar enterprise CMS platforms
- Background in or curiosity about chemistry, scientific publishing, or the scientific community
