Job Summary
The Product Management Specialist will support the development and commercialization of Itron's North American water metering portfolio, focusing on solid‐state meters and smart metering technologies. Key responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams to drive product lifecycle management, conducting market analysis, preparing presentations for stakeholders, engaging with customers during demonstrations, and contributing to product launches and marketing plans. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and skills in IoT, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in product support, applications engineering, utilities, IoT, or a related technical/commercial field.
- Foundational understanding of IoT and communications technologies (e.g., RF, cellular, smart metering ecosystems).
- Ability to analyze market and customer data to support customer‐centric product decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage authentically across multi‐disciplinary and international teams.
- Demonstrated agility in managing multiple tasks and commitments in a fast‐paced environment.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and support technical reviews.
- Comfort with financial analysis and use of internal data systems.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with water metering, utilities, or related infrastructure sectors.
- Exposure to competitive analysis, market evaluation, or business case development.
- Familiarity with lifecycle management processes and cross‐functional product development.
