Job Summary
Senior Specialist, Product Line Systems Engineer leads cross-functional teams to manage engineering aspects of one or more products in L3Harris S2’s product line, serving as a product expert for improvements and enhancements. Interfaces with product, program, and executive management to provide technical support, works with operations and contract manufacturers to ensure manufacturability, resolves design defects, and drives corrective actions. Provides internal system engineering support including DVT, software sell-off, bids and proposals; addresses DMS issues; identifies and root-causes engineering/operations/process issues; communicates findings in a matrixed environment; develops and maintains product documentation (Specification, DVT, HW/SW Interface Control, Release Notes). Also requires the ability to obtain/maintain access to DoD security clearance and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s Degree (EAC/CAC) and minimum 6 years of relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Experience in systems engineering for complex products; familiarity with hardware, software, and manufacturing interfaces
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel as required (customer installation, demonstrations, field support)
- Knowledge of production test, validation, and verification methods
