Product Lead, Data Licensing
On-siteNew York City, New York, United States or New York, United States
Job Summary
Own the data licensing product end-to-end, defining real-time event probabilities, order book depth, and historical archives while structuring tiers, entitlements, and pricing for institutional clients. Serve as the primary product counterpart to the Intercontinental Exchange team, running the joint roadmap and translating their distribution requirements into build specs. Work directly with hedge funds, banks, and proprietary trading firms to gather consumption insights, build the commercial narrative for differentiated prediction market data, and own metrics on licensing revenue and client adoption. Partner with data engineering on feed architecture, latency, and uptime SLAs, while collaborating with legal and compliance on licensing terms and redistribution rights. Write end-to-end documentation that ensures clarity for sales, support, and engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in product management, market data, or a commercial role in financial data, with direct ownership of a product or program that generated revenue
- Deep familiarity with how market data is packaged, licensed, and priced
- Experience selling to or working with institutional clients such as hedge funds, banks, proprietary trading firms, or data vendors
- Strong product instincts. You can write a spec, prioritize a roadmap, and say no to the request that doesn't make the cut
- Comfortable being the commercial face of a product. Pricing conversations, client calls, and partner reviews are things you seek out rather than avoid
- Enough technical fluency to work credibly with data engineers on feed design, latency, and delivery, and to read a schema without help
- A self-starter who is comfortable being the only person on the program. You'd rather build the function than inherit one
- Genuine interest in the business. You want to understand why market-priced probabilities are valuable and who they're valuable to
Desired Qualifications
- (Plus) Experience at an exchange, market data vendor, index provider, or financial data platform
- (Plus) Experience launching a data product through a distribution or reseller partner
- (Plus) Familiarity with prediction markets, crypto, or on-chain data
