Job Summary
Product Lead for AES Next's AI Business Incubation effort, responsible for quickly identifying business opportunities and rapidly iterating on AI-enabled prototypes with subject-matter experts. Define product requirements, develop rapid prototypes (including front-end UX) to validate buyer interest (targeting at least one early-stage prototype per quarter), and Demo prototypes to internal/external users. Own the overall business case linking product capabilities to buyer value, map integrations for enterprise deployment, and define scaling/deployment considerations. As prototypes graduate to startups, transition to an advisory role for CEO/CTO on developing a minimal viable commercial product and, for funded startups, support commercialization and AES deployment. Must bring hands-on experience building applications that incorporate Generative AI and proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools; ability to gather user feedback and iterate; strong cross-functional collaboration; and a fast-learning mindset around emerging AI trends. Nice to have: energy industry experience, product-design/product-thinking familiarity, and familiarity with AI governance and security aspects.
Required Qualifications
- Experience building applications with Generative AI
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code)
- Proficiency with GenAI tools and frameworks
- Exposure to rapid prototyping methodologies and shipping MVPs
- Strong communication skills and cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, and security aspects in AI application architecture
