Job Summary
Product Information Specialist responsible for accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all product data, including labeling, specifications, and item setup across production sites. Manages labeling across facilities, maintains a centralized label ledger, creates and updates product specifications and BOMs, and ensures data alignment across ERP (MS Dynamics NAV), GDSN/Syndigo, and labeling systems. Collaborates with QA, production, purchasing, and sales to maintain audit-ready product information, supports label design using tools like CodeSoft or LabelView, and enforces version control and change management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Experience maintaining product data in ERP systems (MS Dynamics NAV) or similar
- Familiarity with food labeling regulations (FSMA, FDA, USDA)
- Strong GS1 standards knowledge (GTINs, barcoding, product hierarchy)
- Experience with GDSN/Syndigo for data synchronization
- Experience with label design software (CodeSoft, LabelView)
- Strong Excel/data management skills
- Experience creating and maintaining product specifications and BOMs
- Understanding of traceability and lot control in food production environments
- Cross-functional collaboration with QA, operations, purchasing, and sales
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
