Job Summary
Maintain a safety-first mindset while operating railcar movers to spot cars, inspecting them for defects and rejecting non-compliant units. Prepare railcars for loading by loading materials, obtaining quality samples, sealing cars, and completing shipping documentation. Inspect facilities for hazards, troubleshoot equipment issues, and report findings to supervision. Follow written and verbal instructions, use computer systems for training and data entry, and work assigned 24-hour rotating shifts with overtime as required. Following onboarding, may serve as an emergency response team member and assist in training new employees.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
- Complete WorkKeys assessments no later than 30 days after applying
- Applied Math – Operator 5 score on WorkKeys
- Graphic Literacy – Operator 4 score on WorkKeys
- Workplace Documents – Operator 5 score on WorkKeys
- Applied Technology score on WorkKeys (no minimum required, but reviewed)
- WorkKeys test results dated within the last 5 years
- Successful completion of Select Assessment ® for Manufacturing administered by Talogy
