Job Summary
Conduct on-going market research, perform laboratory and forensic analysis for field failures, and assist in new product development including lab work and commercial scale-up. Provide product and application training for sales engineers, field sales managers, and foreign affiliates while managing large or complex projects. Act as a technical liaison for field personnel and internal departments, handling incoming calls, lead qualification, and special order custom product approvals. Enter new product information into systems and maintain technical literature and promotional publications. Requires travel within company plants and globally with a focus on North America, along with a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities and quickly implement solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication, presentation, organization and planning skills
- Must be very flexible and able to work in a self-directed, rapidly changing environment
- Requires travel within company plants, distribution facilities, installations throughout the globe but focus is North America
- Must possess reliable transportation
- Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing
- Physical ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear
- Physical ability to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Physical activity such as lifting material and equipment up to 50 lbs
- Ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, high-visibility vest, and depending on the task, ear protection, respirators, safety harnesses, and specialized protective clothing
