Job Summary
Lead the new product development of HyperLight's integrated photonics platform (TFLN) by researching and developing photonic devices (modulators and electro-optic components), designing and executing high-speed test methodologies and characterization setups, evaluating optical/RF/electro-optic performance of prototype devices, iterating with design/fabrication/test teams, and coordinating with vendors/contract manufacturers to ensure product performance and reliability; responsibilities include leading build, validation, and production test to meet specs, and engaging with customers for feedback and product definition; requires Ph.D. in a photonics-related field, experience in integrated photonics design/test and RF design/testing, strong communication skills, and US work authorization; position is in-person in Cambridge, MA with a salary range of $90,000–$180,000 and comprehensive benefits including flexible hybrid or remote work policies.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Photonics related field such as Physics, Optics, Engineering
- Experience with integrated photonics design and test
