Job Summary
Review customer requirements and complete internal/external compliance matrix responses. Configure vehicle specifications to meet customer needs and application requirements. Support the development and execution of engineering basis of estimates (BOEs). Lead engineering points of contact for all on-contract programs for the commercial-based military vehicle platform. Develop and maintain vehicle and sub-system level Bills of Material (BOMs). Lead change control management for on-contract orders. Interact with US-based and international customers from an engineering perspective across all program phases. Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering, with the ability to travel approximately 5% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering
- Capable of managing and/or supporting vehicle programs from an engineering perspective
- Understanding of vehicle level systems and sub-systems, along with their interaction with one another
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of core engineering principles
- Experience with solving complex technical problems
- Effective communication skills across multiple disciplines and audiences
- Ability to perform hands-on tasks, if necessary, on heavy duty trucks
- Ability to travel approximately 5% of time
- US Citizen
Desired Qualifications
- +2 Years experience in the commercial and/or military heavy truck vehicle market
- Hands-on technical experience in or outside the workplace
- Familiarity with Siemens TeamCenter & NX
