Job Summary
Provide clear production assembly and test instructions to operations personnel, including formal work instructions, acceptance test procedures, and electronic historical record entries. Support the evaluation and implementation of equipment such as assembly fixtures, production flow-line systems, and test equipment to meet operations requirements. Assure product integrity by collaborating with resources to resolve production problems, performing material review board analyses, and assisting in evaluations for potential customer notices. Track metrics including first pass yield and product cost goals to maintain company performance. Facilitate design changes by redlining drawings, attending change review boards, and initiating engineering orders. Travel 5-10% to customers and suppliers as needed. This onsite role in East Aurora, NY, supports Moog's Commercial Aircraft Group in maintaining quality and efficiency across manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in mechanical, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering
- 3+ years of engineering work experience in a manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace or other regulated industry
- Hands on experience interacting with manufacturing shop floor employees
- General knowledge in the areas of Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, Project Planning, Product line transfer and Data Acquisition and Analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
