Job Summary
Own manufacturing readiness and product execution across the optical transceiver lifecycle, supporting new product introduction and transfer to contract manufacturing sites. Manage end-to-end manufacturing ownership, including change control, yield, quality, and reliability for 800G and 1.6T products. Lead root cause investigations for test failures and field returns while driving continuous improvement plans to reduce scrap and optimize cycle time. Collaborate with design, quality, and process engineering teams to validate DFM guidelines and prepare accurate manufacturing BOMs. Prepare product and process reports by analyzing trends and test results to meet customer delivery objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in high-volume optical transceiver manufacturing
- Direct experience with optical transceiver manufacturing and engineering, including 800G and 1.6T products
- Experience supporting NPI and product/manufacturing transfers, including process and yield qualification at contract manufacturing sites
- Strong technical depth in manufacturing BOMs, yield analysis, root cause problem solving, and process implementation for optical products
- Experience in ongoing reliability testing and quality control best practices
- Expertise in data analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and report generation
- In-depth understanding of the quality management system and quality standard requirements
- Strong hands-on skills in debug, failure analysis, and root cause corrective action for optical transceiver products
- Expertise in optics FA processes and tools
- Ability to work well in a geographically diverse cross-functional team
- Good command of English communication, both verbal and written, including in-person and virtual presentation skills
- International travel required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with transceiver products and optical assembly processes such as wire bond, die bond, active optical alignment, product testing, and burn-in
