Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across R2 while owning product and solution architecture. Ensure best practices, uptime, and delivery of mission-critical systems with tight deadlines by increasing code quality toward a zero-bug policy. Contribute to company-wide standards and reliability by researching new tooling, thinking about security throughout development, and working with teams to build productivity-enhancing tools. Promote a culture fostering learning, growth, risk taking, and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience building API-driven services
- Appetite to code on a daily basis
- Experience with distributed architecture patterns
- Experience with microservices
- Experience programming in Go
- Experience programming in Python
- Experience programming in Java
- Experience in designing and implementing robust data models for production
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Experience with DynamoDB
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with containers
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Docker Compose
- Experience with Kubernetes

- Experience designing and implementing Event-Driven architectures
