Job Summary
Product Engineer to help build the next generation of AI-powered workflows for government software. Own end-to-end feature delivery across frontend, backend, and tooling, collaborating directly with customers and internal stakeholders to define product features and prototypes. Design scalable systems, APIs, data models, and workflows; rapidly prototype AI-enabled features; improve developer experience, reliability, and performance. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of software engineering with product ownership, strong full-stack skills, comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguity-rich environments, and a customer-outcomes focus.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years software engineering experience with product ownership
- Strong full-stack development experience with modern web technologies
- Experience working with customers and stakeholders to identify product vision
- Experience balancing speed with maintainable engineering practices
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping create structure where needed
- Strong communication skills and collaboration across teams
- Experience with AI-enabled features or LLM integrations (preferred)
- Startup or growth-stage experience (preferred)
- Interest in government or civic tech (preferred)
