Job Summary
Sustaining Product Engineer bridging Global Engineering and the San Antonio factory to keep a high-volume water-cooled centrifugal product line performing at high quality, cost, and manufacturability. Lead and coordinate engineering changes (ECNs/CCB), ensure BOM accuracy, drive DFMEA and root-cause analysis, pursue DFM improvements, identify cost-reduction opportunities, support PPAP and field issues, and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply-chain teams. Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, 3+ years in product/manufacturing engineering, familiarity with ERP systems (MAPICS/SAP), and strong cross-functional communication; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product engineering, sustaining engineering, or manufacturing engineering
- Experience executing engineering changes in a manufacturing environment (BOM management, drawing updates, cross-functional coordination)
- Familiarity with MAPICS / SAP or equivalent ERP systems
- Experience with quality problem-solving tools (8D, A3, DFMEA)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; interfacing with factory floor teams and engineering management
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred)
