Product Engineer

Job Summary
Product Engineer (Associate level) at Infinite Lambda to work across the full technology stack including backend, frontend, and IDE extension, with a focus on modernisation of legacy data pipelines. Build features using agentic tooling as the default implementation method, write specs and tests, map legacy systems (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, IICS) to modern data stacks (dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake), and ensure human ownership and code quality. Expected to demonstrate deep understanding of code, catch drift or hallucinated APIs, write tests from acceptance criteria first, log agent failure modes, and contribute to measurable throughput and quality KPIs. Requirements include 1-5 years of software engineering experience, proficiency in Python (and frontend work), SQL/data transformation fundamentals, exposure to dbt/Fivetran/Snowflake/Databricks is a plus, and a degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field preferred. Required Qualifications
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of software engineering experience, or a strong portfolio of self-directed projects
- Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent)
- Ability to read and write code across the stack (primarily Python)
- Frontend work and IDE extension experience
- SQL and data transformation concepts
- Exposure to dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake, or Databricks is useful but not required
- Ability to write tests from acceptance criteria
- Ability to explain code and defend merged code
- Demonstrated ability to catch wrong agent output
- Education: degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong communication in distributed team environments
