Job Summary
The Product Engineer II designs, develops, tests, and sustains mechanical and electro-mechanical components and systems for FCB machines, components, prototypes, and devices in accordance with customer and agency requirements. Lead cross-functional projects through the full product lifecycle, manage schedules and budgets, and drive cost-saving initiatives. Develop mechanical/structural and fluid-system designs, prototype and test programs, and regulatory certifications. Create and manage models and drawings using SolidWorks or other parametric tools; evaluate deviations, ECOs, and BOMs; transfer design packages for production; collaborate with Embedded Systems and Electrical Engineers; establish validation plans to meet lifecycle and regulatory standards; provide technical support to multiple departments; investigate field issues and customer problems; participate in project reviews and continuous improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
- Design Project Management experience
- Proficiency with parametric solid modeling software (SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, Pro-E, or Unigraphics)
- Experience in thermodynamics, fluid flow, materials science, and/or electro-mechanics
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Ability to pass background, drug, and reference checks
