Product Engineer II - Geospatial Data Science

Job Summary
Develop and implement test plans, write test code, and verify code changes for geospatial AI tools, SDKs, and models to maintain product quality. Troubleshoot customer issues, analyze user feedback, and collaborate with data scientists on testing, documentation, and releases for ArcGIS products. Create samples, tutorials, and blog posts while developing pre-trained models for imagery, 3D datasets, and text. Report on software quality and stability, ensuring robust delivery to customers. Requires 2+ years of QA or software development experience, proficiency in Python and GIS libraries, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Onsite role in New Delhi with work authorization required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of industry experience in a software development or QA environment, preferably in product-based or geospatial consulting companies
- Hands-on experience in QA processes, implementing test plans, developing or managing test automation, and product certification
- Proficiency in Python and Jupyter notebooks, GIS libraries like GDAL/Rasterio or ArcPy, and/or testing frameworks like Pytest
- Familiarity with GIS concepts, spatial data, and geospatial workflows
- Basic understanding of machine learning and deep learning workflows
- Effective project management, time management, and organizational skills
- Technical writing skills and experience authoring samples, blog posts, and product documentation
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, math, or related fields
- Existing work authorization for India
- Hands-on experience with the ArcGIS suite of products or open-source GIS software
- Experience with remote sensing, satellite imagery, and multispectral image analysis

- Master's degree in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, math, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
