Product Engineer I

Job Summary
Oversee engineering change processes, direct building and modification of automotive sunroof modules, and ensure designs meet customer specifications. Support all design of experiments (DOE) activities, DFM/DFA analysis, and plant build root cause analysis while updating DFMEA's and ensuring SPV testing results are communicated. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and supply chain teams on technical inputs for supply base and assembly plant issues, alongside cost reduction, Kaizen, and CIP initiatives. Utilize CAD systems to access and update drawings. This role supports Inalfa Roof Systems' mission to develop roof systems for future car models for leading OEMs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree
- 2 to 5 years of automotive experience
- automotive experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to regularly walk

- Ability to use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls
