Job Summary
Product Engineer I supports structured problem-solving activities (5 Whys, basic PSP) by collecting data, documenting findings, and assisting with root cause analysis under guidance. Participates in NPI activities, including data collection, protocol execution, and documentation support for process validation and qualification. Supports raw material changes by helping collect supplier data, executing test protocols, and documenting results for engineering assessments. Maintains and updates process documentation (SOPs, work instructions, control plans) in alignment with change control requirements. Ideally holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical discipline and has 0–3 years of engineering, manufacturing, or quality experience; basic understanding of manufacturing processes and problem-solving methodologies is expected. The role is located on-site in Pensacola, Florida.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and internship/co-op experience)
- 0–3 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality (internships/co-ops highly valued)
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes; exposure to polymeric materials or life sciences manufacturing is a plus
- Foundational knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, basic root cause analysis); familiarity with DBS concepts preferred
- Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis (SPC, DOE concepts)
