Job Summary
As a product engineer on the GTM Innovation team at OpenAI, you will build high-impact applications and tools that support go-to-market efforts. You will manage the full product lifecycle from prototype to production, collaborating with Sales and Technical teams to address user needs. Candidates should have 4+ years of experience in software engineering, be fluent in Python or JavaScript, and should have experience with LLM-powered workflows and the OpenAI API. Strong ownership, initiative, and a user-focused mindset are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a software/ML/product engineer working on user-facing systems
- Fluent in Python or JavaScript and comfortable building full-stack applications
- Have built or prototyped LLM-powered workflows using the OpenAI API (or similar)
- Take initiative, move quickly, and operate with a strong sense of ownership
Desired Qualifications
- Former founder, or early engineer at a startup who built a product from scratch is a plus
- Enjoy working closely with end users and shaping 0→1 products
- Collaborative, curious, and motivated to make an outsized impact at the frontier of AI
