Job Summary
Product Engineer based in Juarez, Mexico, responsible for receiving, evaluating, and customizing customer technical information for NPIs or design changes, establishing manufacturing processes to maintain design/performance integrity. Manages product transfer and new product setup within the NPI process, supports CFT and Production, plans and performs validation tests, suggests process/product improvements, resolves product/design issues with process and quality teams, and interacts with customers and cross-functional groups. Provides product training to manufacturing/process engineers, manages and administers BOMs and ECOs, supports cost reduction initiatives, and contributes to PFMEA development. Requires BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, solid manufacturing Product Engineer background, PLM and ERP systems experience, BOM/ECO knowledge, and strong English communication.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- Solid experience as a Product Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, preferably Agile
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, BAAN, or Flexflow
- Knowledge of ECOs, MCOs, deviations, and material dispositions
- Knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) creation, interpretation, and structure definition for production
- Experience introducing new projects and participating in NPI processes
- Fluent English communication skills
