Product Engineer Domestic Case Goods

Own the end-to-end engineering process for domestic case goods products, from concept through production and discontinuation. Develop detailed engineering drawings, solid models, and product specifications to translate design concepts into fully engineered items. Create and manage Engineering Introduction Orders, Bills of Materials, and all supporting documentation while ensuring components are accurately itemized for cost efficiency and manufacturability. Validate compliance with fabrication and assembly standards during mock-ups and first builds, then analyze product margins to identify cost reduction opportunities. Troubleshoot design issues related to fabrication or assembly challenges and maintain accurate MRP data within Infor systems. Manage engineering revisions through workflow tools and ensure regulatory compliance prior to first production. Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams to provide technical insights and improve processes. Lead product improvement initiatives and standardize components while staying current with engineering technologies and manufacturing methodologies.
