Job Summary
Product Engineer Data & AI at Sifted will own end-to-end data and AI-powered product features that power shippers and 3PLs. You’ll build and maintain data pipelines, automation, and product features; collaborate with product, operations, domain experts, and customers to define problems and validate solutions; ship production-ready solutions; write tests and data-quality checks; and leverage AI and automation across data stack and customer-facing surfaces. You’ll work across the stack (data, backend, and customer-facing surfaces) and participate in transforming how clients optimize shipping spend, carriers, and contracts using the proprietary SiftedAI platform.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with a modern cloud data warehouse (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and its transformation tooling (e.g. dbt)
- Demonstrated success implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, BitBucket pipelines)
- 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering or data engineering
- Designed or managed data pipelines handling millions of records daily
- Proven experience gathering requirements and working directly with stakeholders
- Experience deploying and maintaining systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to embrace AI as a core tool for problem-solving and innovation
- Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with C# and/or React
- Nice to Have: Background in parcel shipping or third-party logistics (3PL)
