Job Summary
Translate custom customer requests into buildable engineering solutions by configuring, adapting, and problem-solving established designs to fit specific needs. Serve as the technical consultant to estimating on custom quotes, determining viability and recommending viable paths when requests fall outside normal system limitations. Equip production with BOMs, methods of manufacture, and custom engineering drawings while managing quote program preparation and corrective actions. Participate in Product Development projects to bulletproof processes from sales quote through the production floor, and represent your area in Cross-Functional Team meetings. Develop tools using light programming or scripting to connect systems and automate manual steps. Build deep product knowledge to act as a go-to technical resource for Manufacturing, Planning, Sales, Procurement, and Quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in product design or development within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in 3D modeling/CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks)
- Working knowledge of programming logic and automation concepts
- Comfort working across multiple ERP systems
- A collaborative, resourceful mindset and sharp problem-solving instincts
