Job Summary
Product Engineer responsible for resolving product design issues, leading engineering changes, and driving product improvements across multiple plants. Collaborates with Marketing, Sales, Production, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering; leads design work on projects with capital expenditures up to $1,000,000; initiates cost-reduction ideas; troubleshoots engineering-related production problems; develops detailed engineering analyses for product line extensions; communicates specifications to internal and external customers; uses Engineering Release/Notice procedures and trains internal/external customers on product offerings; travels to customers and manufacturing sites as required; supports sales and customer understanding of product requirements and installation methods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- Engineer with minimum 4 years of experience in the building products industry or 6 years of other product engineering experience
