Job Summary
Product Engineer responsible for design, documentation and support for LNG & H2 vehicle fuel systems, including product structures, BOMs and manufacturing drawings. Manages Engineering Change Requests, updates 3D CAD models, provides component specifications to suppliers, and supports APQP for new product introductions. Collaborates with interdepartmental teams to evaluate manufacturability, tooling requirements, and labor/material estimates; provides manufacturing support and technical inquiries handling. Ensures compliance with ISO 9001, TS 16949 and IATF 16949; participates in relevant standards organizations; travel to customer sites as needed. Requires BS in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, proficiency with AutoCAD/Inventor/SolidWorks, JD Edwards or similar, and strong communication skills; prior exposure to cryogenic liquids and heavy truck/automotive fuel systems is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in heavy truck or automotive industry as an OEM supplier or OEM manufacturer
- Proficiency with 3D modeling and design utilizing AutoCAD/Inventor and/or SolidWorks
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc
- Exposure to JD Edwards or similar manufacturing software
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS 16949 and IATF 16949 standards
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel 2-4 times per year
- Hands-on with cryogenic liquids and related safety considerations
