Job Summary
Act as the primary technical advisor for prospective customers across Japan evaluating Claude, demonstrating system architectures and novel prompting techniques to solve high-value business problems. Partner with account executives to configure capabilities, develop customized pilots and prototypes, and drive technical decision-making on optimal setup and integration. Support customer onboarding by working cross-functionally to ensure successful ramp and adoption, serving as an ongoing technical advisor throughout implementation. Travel occasionally to customer sites for workshops, implementation support, and relationship building. Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of innovative solutions leveraging our latest models' capabilities while maintaining best-in-class safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Forward Deployed Engineer, or Platform Engineer
- Native-level Japanese fluency
- business-level English
- Designed novel and innovative solutions for technical platforms in a developing business area across Japan
- Strong technical aptitude
- proficiency in Python
- Recent experience building production systems with large language models
- The ability to navigate and execute amidst ambiguity, and to flex into different domains based on the business problem at hand, finding simple, easy-to-understand solutions
- Excitement for engaging in cross-organizational collaboration, working through trade-offs, and balancing competing priorities
- A love of teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
- Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time

- Partner closely with account executives to understand customer requirements
- Configure Claude's capabilities to showcase how it meets the customer's needs
- Develop system architectures and leveraging novel prompting techniques
- advise on optimal setup, architecture, and integration of Claude into the customer's existing infrastructure
- Recommend solutions to technical roadblocks
