Product Engineer

Job Summary

Design and improve commercial air distribution products using SolidWorks, VBA, and engineering principles to drive efficiency and reliability. Create parts, assemblies, and drawings while managing engineering data in SolidWorks PDM, and develop models for special product requests. Respond to engineering change requests and review corrective action requests from production facilities to recommend improvements. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to streamline production standards, reduce waste, and answer technical questions from clients and OEMs. Test and evaluate software, firmware, and competitor products to analyze laboratory data and drive innovation. Mentor designers and junior engineers while participating in industry committees and training sessions. Travel up to 20% of the time to manufacturing locations for audits and product start-ups.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering from an accredited four-year College or University
  • 3+ years of related engineering and SolidWorks experience
  • Knowledge and experience with HVAC systems and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Proficiency in VBA
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle practical issues
  • Ability to interpret varied instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to interpret technical documents
  • Ability to present information clearly
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to apply algebra, geometry, and physics to solve engineering and financial calculations
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time to respective manufacturing locations for product start-up, quality audits, and follow up on the production of products
