Job Summary
Product Engineer II responsible for sustaining engineering support for UAV and missile systems, including design modifications of structural components, electro-mechanical assemblies, payloads, and ground/launch equipment; development of prototype hardware; performing design verification testing; and managing configuration items and BOMs. Duties include creating and updating manufacturing drawings and procedures, supporting design reviews, assisting project managers with planning/scheduling engineering work, coordinating the transition of new products into production, and aiding manufacturing and suppliers in producing mechanical components and assemblies. Also involved in releasing engineering design documentation, manuals, test procedures, and production tooling, plus obsolescence management and technical point-of-contact duties for ongoing support and change initiation. Requires ability to work in office/R&D environment; ITAR/EAR compliance and US-person requirements apply; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K with matching, 9/80 schedule, and holiday shutdown.
Required Qualifications
- ITAR/EAR compliance; U.S. person per ITAR definition (citizen, green card holder, or protected individual)
- U.S. Citizenship may be required for some positions per contract
- Experience with sustaining engineering for aerospace/defense product lines
- Familiarity with Agile PLM or similar configuration management systems
- Ability to coordinate production transitions, change orders, and manufacturing documentation
- Ability to participate in design reviews and support manufacturing/suppliers
