Job Summary
Temporary 12-month contract role: Product Development Specialist at Staples Promotional Products. Collaborate with Account Managers, customers, and vendors to source promotional merchandise, generate quotes, and ensure items meet customer brand guidelines and margin targets. Create quotes using Bridge, Linc, SAGE, PPT, and email; source from domestic and overseas vendors with 80%+ preferred vendor usage; handle simple quote requests under $5,000 and seek Account Manager approval for higher ones. Maintain records of quote activity, advise on product solutions, attend client calls and vendor tradeshows, and contribute to team success through sharing ideas and best practices. Requires strong collaboration, vendor knowledge, and a customer-focused approach; bilingual English/French and willingness to attend tradeshows are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience in sales support, sourcing, product development, or promotional merchandise
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with preferred vendor programs and compliance standards
