Job Summary
Product Development Manager for Commercial and Utility Truck leads development of truck product and service offerings within an assigned District/Region, acts as liaison with National, Government, and Strategic Account Managers and Sales Representatives, provides training and support to internal staff, and drives incremental revenue by building customer relationships and coordinating with district/branch operations on fleet and service solutions. Responsible for managing truck projects, developing market-specific plans, and promoting the full Commercial/Utility Truck service offering, including training sales staff and coordinating with fleet planning and procurement activities. Travel up to 50% and focus on delivering solutions to improve customers’ owned equipment operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
- 7+ years’ sales experience, preferably in branch or sales management and with large account experience selling complex solutions
- Operations experience, specific to equipment operations, is highly desirable
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and proficient computer skills
- Independent with strong research and organizational skills
- Knowledge of construction or related equipment is preferred; however, candidates with comparable industry experience, a strong sales acumen and record of achievement will also be considered
- Travel 50% and reside within close proximity to an airport for frequent travel
