Job Summary
Software Engineer for Meter System Development to join Marelli’s engineering team at Yoshimi plant. Responsible for analysing customer requirements, transforming them into technical solutions, designing maintainable and efficient software, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers, participating in the full software development lifecycle, conducting design/code/test reviews, debugging, and delivering software with zero bugs before mass production. Requires embedded software experience in C (5+ years), meter software experience (3+ years), experience with Git, CANalyzer and oscilloscopes, knowledge of microcontroller peripherals, and English proficiency (TOEIC >600). Desired skills include MATLAB model development, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, and software test automation. Hybrid work model at Yoshimi office; Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field and automotive-related development experience or interest. The role emphasizes collaboration with Japanese OEMs and international teams across software development for the meter system.”,
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 5+ years experience in embedded software development using C
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
- Experience in developing meter software (3+ years)
- Experience using basic measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, CANalyzer)
- Knowledge of microcontroller peripheral functions and development experience
- English proficiency (TOEIC score over 600)
- Knowledgeable about automotive functions or interest in automobiles
