Job Summary
Lead the development of the Consumer Product category alongside the Head of Product Development, managing co-branded ranges, theme park merchandise, and licensed product lines that remain faithful to the Harry Potter canon. Drive best-in-class product launches by collaborating with internal and external partners to explore innovative R&D projects, review market trends, and implement process improvements. Provide creative guidance on packaging and design, ensuring all materials align with brand guidelines while supporting the Consumer Product Development Associate. Lead strategic calls and creative development meetings to evolve the consumer product portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of licensing, product and design trends
- Demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of the competitive landscape
- A proven track record in a previous product development role
- Brand guardianship and franchise management
- Previous licensing experience
- Experience of working in the entertainment industries
- Strong partner and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with senior internal and external teams
- Supporting efficient development and streamlining the review process
- Excellent visual design skills
- Awareness in a consumer product development focused role
- Reviewing both product and packaging development
- Expertise in offering creative input to inspire partners
